From 10th to 16th of September the team of CAEBUS successfully hold the planned Summer School with the topic “E-Business: Market Structures, User Behavior, Emerging Technologies”. The CAEBUS-Team could welcome 11 Bachelor degree students from the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, 3 professors and 9 Master and Ph.D. students from the well-known International College of the National Institute for Development Administration in Bangkok and one lecturer and 3 British students from the Birmingham City University at our Summer School. Additionally, a student project group of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences supported and helped the CAEBUS team in the preparation and performance of the Summer School.
On the first day, 10th of September, the international guests were picked up from the airport and train station. Afterwards in the evening, Mr. Massarczyk and parts of the student project group lead the international guests through a tour in the city of Wiesbaden. Here, Mr. Massarczyk especially explains some aspects and facts of the history and the daily of Wiesbaden.
On the 11th of September, the official opening of the CAEBUS Summer School was given by Prof. Dr. Winzer, who introduced to the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and opened the introduction speeches of the vice president of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Jost and the Thai vice general consul Pongsathon Chudasmita. After the friendly greetings from the both speakers, the official weekly program with different presentations and excursions started. Next to the presentations of the 3 Thai professors Prof. Dr. Vesarach Aubemoonsuke, Prof. Dr. Sid Suntrayuth and Prof. Dr. Peerayuth Charoensukmongkul and the 3 CAEBUS professors Prof. Dr. Stephan Böhm, Prof. Dr. Werner Quint and Prof. Dr. Peter Winzer, the 2 excursions built the possibility that the International and German students could get an in-depth view of practical work in daily life of the business work in Germany. The whole group visited the television and radio program “Südwestrundfunk” for the first time. Here, the International and German students could get the experience how the programs were produced. Also, the students could directly talk and ask radio moderators about their daily work life and the pros and cons of their job. The first evening closed with a German traditional dinner in a typical Bavarian restaurant. On the 12th of September, the students could get further presentations and a group work about E-Business software programs that was presented by Mr. Eine.
Following these presentations, the German and Internationals students and guests visited Price Waterhouse & Coopers (PWC) in Frankfurt on the 13th of September. Here, the group experienced an enjoyable time to develop ideas for a new mobile application in the new Experience Lab of PWC. The evening of Wednesday was closed by a traditional wine tasting with a barbecue and a social international culture program.
On Thursday, the last presentations about the topic E-Business were presented. In the following Mr. Driehaus lead a group work, where the German and International students could develop an own approach for a development of an application. On the last day, Friday, the Ph.D. candidates from the CAEBUS team and partly from the ICO NIDA presented their dissertation topics. Finally, all the students get a certificate of participation and the group photograph were taken.
The whole feedback for this enjoyable week was very positive and so the CAEBUS team is looking forward to organizing another Summer School in the next 2 years.

In cooperation with the International College of National Institute of Development and Administration (ICO NIDA) in Bangkok, the Center of Advanced E-Business Studies is hosting the First International Workshop on Entrepreneurship in Electronic and Mobile Business (IWEMB) on 8th and 9th of november in Bandkok.
Researchers from all over the world are welcomed to attend our 2-days conference to gain new insights, discuss trends and participate in the international exchange of ideas.
Abstracts can be submitted until 1st of June 2017.

From 21.03.2017 to 11.04.2017, doctoral candidate Judith Eisser visited the International College of the National Institute of Development and Administration (ICO NIDA) in Bangkok in order to theoretically prepare for her dissertation creation. Three PhD courses in the form of a seminar about International Management and two lecture collections about advanced research methods prepared her for her own PhD research project. All three courses were successfully completed each with an exam and a research paper concerning different aspects relevant for her dissertation.
Apart from the course work and the learning phases at ICO NIDA, Ms. Eisser used the time in Bangkok to visit monuments such as the Grand Palace and one of the other universities in Bangkok, Assumption university, where she could meet CAEBUS member Wendy Farrell, who now works there as lecturer.

The „Center of Advanced E-Business Studies“ (CAEBUS) at the University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Stephan Böhm, Prof. Dr. Werner Quint und Prof. Dr. Peter Winzer, will be launching a new publication titled „Advanced E-Business Research – International Trends & Issues.“ We would be delighted to have you as one of our contributors.
This initial publication will focus on the following topics: cultural requirements for e-business, consumer needs for e-business, economic and regulatory frameworks for e-business models as well as structural and organizational implementation of e-business models. From the 14th–16th of March, CAEBUS Ph.D. Candidate, Wendy Farrell took part in the 11th International Conference on Mobile Learning 2015 Doctoral Consortium in Madiera Portugal. There she presented on her proposed Ph.D. dissertation topic “A Framework to Support Global Corporate mLearning: Learner Initiative and Technology Acceptance Across Cultures.” The topic was well received and the feedback offered was knowledgable, professional and most importantly extremely helpful.

On 1st of December the ICO NIDA Staff visited the University of Applied Sciences. A Memorandum of Understanding between the ICO NIDA Bangkok and University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden Rüsselsheim was signed.
